How to Apply Your SXC Press-On Nails for a Long-Lasting Hold!

To get the most out of your nail kit and ensure a strong, 2+ week hold, proper nail prep and application are essential. Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Prep Your Canvas (Crucial for Adhesion!)

Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them completely.

Gently push back your cuticles using the included cuticle pusher.

The Secret Step: Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails using a nail file. Removing the natural shine gives the glue gel a textured surface to grip onto!

Wipe your natural nails with an alcohol prep pad to remove any remaining natural oils or dust.

Step 2: Get Your Upgraded UV Light Ready

Ensure your UV LED light is powered on and ready to go. (We’ve recently upgraded our UV lights with new, high-performance components for a reliable and powerful cure every time!)

Step 3: Apply the Glue Gel

Apply a small, pea-sized drop of the glue gel to the inside base of the press-on nail. Avoid using too much, as it will spill over the edges.

Step 4: The 45-Degree Application

Place the base of the press-on nail at your cuticle line at a 45-degree angle.

Slowly press the nail down flat against your natural nail. Doing this at an angle pushes the glue forward and prevents trapped air bubbles, which are the #1 cause of nails popping off early!

Step 5: Cure & Lock It In

While keeping firm pressure on the nail with one finger, place your hand under the UV LED light.

Cure for 60 to 90 seconds to ensure the gel is completely hardened and locked in place.

Avoid washing your hands or applying lotions for at least 1–2 hours after application to let the gel fully set.

If you see any glue squeezing out the sides during step 4, quickly wipe it away with a cuticle stick before curing under the UV light.
