The AltitudeCraft tandem axle stopper gives your 18 wheeler a fixed stop on the slider rail. Count the holes you want to move, insert the stopper, and slide until the slider box stops against it.
How to use it in 6 steps
- Decide how many holes you want the tandems to move.
- Insert the stopper that many holes from the end of the slider box, on the side the tandems move toward.
- Set the trailer brakes (red knob out) and release the tractor brakes (yellow knob in). Unlock the slider pins.
- Slowly move the tractor until the slider box stops against the stopper.
- Lock the slider pins. Check that every pin is fully through the rail holes.
- Remove the stopper, then do a gentle tug test before you drive.

Q: Will it fit my trailer?
A: It is made for semi trailers with a sliding tandem, such as dry vans and reefers. The pin diameter is 1.5 in (38 mm), so check that your slider-rail holes fit a 1.5 in pin. It is not for fixed axles.
Q: Can I leave it on the rail while driving?
A: No. The magnet holds it in place while you slide. Always remove the stopper after you lock the pins and before you drive.
